By using our platform or making a booking, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

We collect information you provide directly to us, as well as some information generated through your use of the platform:

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Booking & confirmation: To process your booking, generate a booking reference, and send confirmation emails.
• OTP verification: To verify your email address during the booking process.
• Trip execution: To share your name, contact number, and relevant details with Soulscape Trails for on-ground operations and emergency contact purposes.
• Document management: To store and retrieve your uploaded consent form for the duration of the trip.
• Customer support: To respond to your queries, complaints, or requests.
• Legal compliance: To comply with applicable laws, court orders, or regulatory requirements.
• Platform improvement: Anonymised and aggregated data may be used to improve the platform experience.

We do not use your data for unsolicited marketing, sell your data to advertisers, or share it with any third party not mentioned in this policy.

We share your personal information only in the following limited circumstances:

All third-party providers listed above are bound by their own data protection policies and applicable Indian data protection law. We do not share your Aadhaar number or full identity document data with any party; only the last 4 digits are collected for verification purposes.

All payments are processed through Easebuzz, a Payment Card Industry (PCI-DSS) compliant payment aggregator authorised by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Buzztrips does not store, process, or transmit your credit/debit card number, CVV, or net banking credentials. These details are entered directly on Easebuzz's secure payment page.

Your booking data is stored in a secured cloud database (MongoDB). Uploaded documents are stored in Amazon S3 with restricted, access-controlled storage. All file access links are time-limited (7-day expiry) and require authenticated credentials to generate.

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, or destruction. However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy:

• Booking records: Retained for a minimum of 2 years after the trip date for accounting, legal, and audit purposes.
• Uploaded documents: Retained for 90 days after the trip completion date, after which they may be securely deleted.
• Email OTPs: Stored in memory only during the verification session and discarded immediately after.
• Usage/log data: Retained for up to 30 days.

You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at trips@festbuzz.in. Note that certain data may need to be retained for legal compliance even after a deletion request.

Buzztrips uses minimal client-side storage:

• sessionStorage: Used to store your booking context temporarily during the booking flow and payment process. This data is cleared when you close the browser tab.
• localStorage: Used to cache trip listings for faster browsing. No personal data is stored here.

We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics tools that transmit personal data to advertisers.

The Buzztrips platform is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has used our platform, please contact us immediately at trips@festbuzz.in.

Under applicable Indian data protection law, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis (note: this may affect your ability to use the platform).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at trips@festbuzz.in with the subject line "Data Request." We will respond within 30 days.

The Buzztrips platform may contain links to third-party websites (such as Festbuzz.in, Instagram pages of Soulscape Trails, or Easebuzz payment pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site you visit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. For significant changes, we may notify you via email.
